I’m trying to figure out whether I should bring in anexpert proofreader for a few detailed documents I’m working on. The writing isn’t bad, but I keep feeling like something is “off”, small phrasing issues, uneven flow, or tiny grammatical slips that I don’t notice until much later.

If you’ve ever hired someone with real expertise in proofreading (not just basic checking), how did you know they were the right fit? And what kind of improvements did you see after working with them?
